When 2 TB is no longer enough
Dropbox’s October product update highlights an option for Plus subscribers: buying multiple storage packs. According to its official help page, you can add storage in 1 TB increments without switching plans.
That could help if your videos, photos or work files are piling up. You can manage the add-ons in the account management section of Dropbox’s website. Check the billing page for the exact price.
Extra storage means a recurring charge
The storage is not a one-time purchase. Dropbox makes it available immediately and charges a prorated amount until your next billing cycle. After that, it is billed on the same schedule as your subscription. If you pay annually, the add-on is billed annually too.
If you subscribed through Google Play or the App Store, you cannot buy these packs directly. If you subscribed through a reseller, you must arrange the extra storage with that reseller. Before adding space, check the recurring price and how you pay for your plan, since the options may vary by account.
