Was that photo on your phone or your computer?
Finding a family photo can mean searching through several folders and services. On October 15, Microsoft introduced a redesigned Photos app that brings pictures from your PC, OneDrive and iCloud into one gallery.
It lets you search in everyday language, filter by person and use albums. To add your Apple photo library, you need iCloud for Windows. Having the photos on an iPhone is not enough.
Not available to everyone yet
The editor and viewer are also being updated, with tools for cropping, correcting images and adjusting lighting. You can also edit images in formats such as HEIC and WebP.
The rollout starts with the Windows Insider testing program. Microsoft plans to expand it to the rest of Windows 11 users later this year, but has not given a specific date for Mexico.
If you open Photos and do not see the changes, that does not mean something is wrong with your computer. The features are rolling out in stages, and some search options also depend on your hardware and the languages supported.
