In brief

  • The game launched on October 22.
  • The demo includes the first chapter and supports save transfer.

Try the opening before committing

Square Enix announced Final Fantasy Resonance’s October 22 launch on PS5, Switch, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and Xbox on PC. Its free demo lets you try the opening and transfer your save to the full game.

The demo announcement covers the first chapter and estimates three to five hours of play. That is the publisher’s estimate, not a guaranteed duration: exploring or spending time in menus changes the pace.

Pixels, scenery and turns

Resonance rebuilds the first story arc of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as a console and PC adventure. It combines pixel-art characters with three-dimensional environments, the style Square Enix calls HD-2D.

Xbox Wire describes turn-based combat with a visible action order and a system for staggering enemies. This is different from controlling every strike in real time: choosing what to do, and when, is the focus.

What to check before buying

Try the demo on the device you intend to use. Look at text size, menu clarity and whether you enjoy the pace of combat, rather than judging only the visuals.

The North American announcement does not replace your Mexican storefront listing: check price, language and edition before paying. A free demo also does not mean the full game is free.
